Safer Gambling Tools

Our Safer Gambling Tools are available to help you manage your time and spending to keep you in control.

Spend Limit

Set daily, weekly, or monthly limits to stay in control of your spending. You can set this anytime, including when making your first deposit, via the Safer Gambling Tools page, via your Wallet or by contacting our Customer Support team. Spend Limits are calculated based on your net position and considers deposits and withdrawals. Example: Let’s say you have a monthly Spend Limit of £100, and throughout the month you deposit £50 and withdraw £20, leaving your limit at £70 remaining. Lowering your limit takes effect immediately. Increasing your limit triggers a 24-hour waiting period, we’ll then ask for you to confirm that you still wish to increase it before it takes effect.
Please note: Spend Limits apply across all brands within LeoVegas Group: BetMGM, BetUK, LeoVegas, Pink Casino, 21.co.uk and Slotboss.

Loss Limit

Loss Limits cap how much you can lose over a daily, weekly or monthly basis. This can be set by yourself or by a member of the Customer Support team. Example: If you set a weekly Loss Limit of £50, and lose £10 Monday, £5 Tuesday and £20 Saturday you’ll have £15 remaining until it resets the following week. Before setting this limit, we recommend you carefully consider if you can afford to do so. Never increase your Loss Limit because you have lost money and think you can win it back by gambling more. Like Spend Limits, lowering your Loss Limit takes effect immediately. If you increase your Loss Limit, there’s a 24-hour waiting period before the change can be confirmed and applied.

Wagering Limit

Wagering Limits let you control how much you wager in total – across all bets – within a day, week, or month. Once your set limit is reached, you won’t be able to place additional bets until the next period begins. Example: If you set a monthly Wagering Limit of £500, and wager £200 in week one, £150 in week two, and £150 in week three, you’ll reach your limit before week four. Increasing your Wagering Limit requires a 24-hour waiting period while we action your request – lowering it will apply the change instantly.

Session Limit

Session Limits let you set the maximum time you can stay logged in during each session. When you approach your limit, you will be notified. Once the time is up, you’ll be automatically logged out. Increasing your Session Limit also includes a 24-hour waiting period, but we recommend asking yourself if you are perhaps missing out on other life commitments by increasing the length of each session.

Reality Check

Reality Check reminders help you stay on top of how long you’ve spent gambling. Set time-based alerts (e.g. every, 15, 30, 60, or 90 minutes), and a pop-up will appear at each interval. You must engage with the Reality Check message to either continue playing, or log out of your account. Example: If you turn on a 60-minute reminder, you’ll receive a prompt after every hour of gameplay, with the option to continue or log out.

Time-Out

A Time-Out allows you to take a short break from gambling – from 24 hours up to 6 weeks. During this period, your account will be inaccessible and will automatically reopen once the Time-out expires. If you wish to take a much longer break from gambling, please see our Self-exclusion tool. Please note: If you want to apply a time-out on any other LeoVegas operated sites, you must do so from each site (BetMGM, BetUK, LeoVegas, Pink Casino, 21.co.uk and Slotboss).

Self-Exclusion

Self-Exclusion is a longer-term break from gambling, set between 6 months and 5 years. While active, you won’t be able to open an account, access, or gamble at any site operated by LeoVegas Gaming PLC (BetMGM, BetUK, LeoVegas, Pink Casino, 21.co.uk and Slotboss).

After opting to self-exclude, we’ll take all reasonable steps to prevent you from opening new accounts on our sister sites. Any transactions on your account will also be voided and any winnings may be forfeited.

You also won’t receive any marketing materials or promotions from us during this time, but this can take 48 hours to come into effect after opting to self-exclude.

If you wish to self-exclude, please contact our Customer Support team who will be able to assist you. You can also self-exclude from the Safer Gambling tools page while logged in to your account.

We encourage anyone wishing to self-exclude to also seek exclusion from all other operators of gambling sites they may hold accounts with to ensure your time spent away is as effective as possible.

There are also several self-exclusion schemes available offering further information and support.

To find out more please visit www.gamcare.org.uk/self-help/self-exclusion.

Protecting Minors

Gambling is strictly for those aged 18 or over by law, and we take our responsibility to prevent underage gambling seriously.

We carry out age verification and other important checks at the point of registration – while ensuring our social media, marketing and product selection do not appeal to anyone underage.

How you can further protect under 18s from accessing gambling sites:

  • Keep usernames and passwords secure.
  • Don’t use autofill/keychain to save login details.
  • Ensure any payment information is kept private.
  • Always log out after playing at Pink Casino.
  • Supervise minors while they’re online.
  • Talk to your child about the risks of illegal sites.

We would also recommend considering the use of blocking software:

The site has a quiz to self-assess your gambling along with access to 24hr live chat and telephone support.

Self Assessment

If you are concerned about your gambling (or about someone else's) you can consider the following problem gambling self-assessment questions, to help you consider whether you (or someone else) may have a problem:

  • Do you stay away from work or college to gamble?
  • Do you gamble to escape from a boring or unhappy life?
  • If you run out of money when you're gambling do you feel lost and in despair, and want to find money to gamble again as soon as possible?
  • After losing, do you feel you must try and win back your losses as soon as possible?
  • Have you lied, stolen or borrowed just to get money to gamble or pay gambling debts?
  • Do you gamble until your money runs out?
  • Have you ever lied to cover up the amount of money or time you have spent gambling?
  • Have you lost interest in your family, friends or hobbies because of your gambling?
  • Are you getting into debt because of your gambling?
  • Have others ever criticised your gambling?
  • Are you reluctant to spend 'gambling money' on anything else?
  • Do arguments, frustrations or disappointments make you want to gamble?
  • Do you feel depressed or even suicidal because of your gambling?

The more you, a friend or family member answers 'yes' to these questions, the more likely it is that you or they may have a gambling problem.

For further information on your Self-Assessment, please contact our Customer Support team, LeoSafePlay, our dedicated safer gambling resource, or GamCare for further assistance.
