Instead of traditional paylines, the game has a cluster pays mechanism - so to land a win, you’ll need to connect four or more matching symbols, either vertically or horizontally. The main features are: Stone Gateway Feature: Every win you get will charge up the Stone Gateway meter, and as it fills up, Special Wilds will be randomly added to the grid at certain milestones. And, if you trigger wins with Special Wilds, you can activate one of two special effects:
- Petrify – Removes a whole row or column, charging the Stone Gateway even more.
- Gaze –Eliminates all instances of one symbol from the grid.
Other World Free Round: When you collect 42 symbols in the Stone Gateway meter, you’ll unlock 1 Free Round with three random Stone Gateway Effects. If you overcharge the Stone Gateway, you’ll get extra Stone Gateway Effects —one extra effect for every three additional winning symbols, up to a maximum of seven:
- Special Wilds: Four Special Wilds are added to the grid.
- Petrify: Four Special Wilds appear, and if you land a win with any Special Wild, you activate the Petrify effect.
- Gaze: Four Special Wilds appear, and if you land a win with any Special Wild, you’ll activate the Gaze effect.
Mega Wild Medusa Feature: During the Other World Free Round, 11 or 12 Eye Masks will be placed randomly on the reels and are activated if you land a winning combination where they are. Medusa got a bad rap, really. Hers was a tragic story, and she didn’t deserve any of what she got. But there’s nothing tragic or sad about this game. The visuals are stunning, with electric-looking colours and lightning strikes and the icons and backdrop transport us back to ancient Greece.
