Best UK Spa Breaks
Yes, we’re an online casino, but we know the value of a good ole pampering session. So, if you’re wanting to treat someone special and don’t quite know where to take them, indulge in some of the best spa breaks in the UK - according to Pink Casino. Get some inspiration for your next weekend break with your other half or even a solo stay by having a peek through our favourite spa hotels. Look forward to relaxing poolside, unwinding in a glorious king-size bed, and not needing to wake up at 6:30am for once.
Here are some of our favourite spa getaways just waiting to invite you in…
Ramside Hall: Durham
Ramside Hall is right in the heart of the Pink Panther’s favourite spa destination; you know, “Durham, Durham, Durham, Durham, Durham…” Jokes aside, this is a gorgeous hotel that serves as a popular wedding venue - not only because it’s perfectly presented, but because of its fantastic amenities, too. Splurging and want a chauffeur to drive you around in a Bentley? They’ve got you covered. Celebrating an extra special occasion? There’s a Celebration Suite designed just for that! Their spa is the epitome of luxury, benefiting from a thermal suite, five(!) pools, one of the largest hydrotherapy pools in the UK, an outdoor infinity pool, and a state of the art gym. They often have offers on, so it’s always worth checking to see if you can score yourself a bargain spa break on their website.

The Grand Hotel and Spa: York
York is a must-visit city for a weekend break with a friend or loved one thanks to its old-timey buildings, gorgeous views, and abundance of cute cafes that line the cobblestone streets. The Grand Hotel is just across the road from the train station so it’s in a great location if you’re bad at timekeeping and suspect that you’ll need to make a run for your train home. The short walk from the hotel to the city’s hub is lovely, too, with ample views of the River Ouse that will make for a fantastic Insta snap. The Grand describes its spa as a ‘secluded and tranquil escape’ and we can certainly see why; it’s a serene environment, offering lots of treatments that are bound to work the tension from your muscles after a long, hard day of shopping and eating. They offer great value for money in the form of spa packages, and some accommodation options come with complimentary spa treatments.
Price range: £134 - £323
Armathwaite Hall: Bassenthwaite
Okay, so this one is a little on the pricey side of things but (and there is a but!) it’s so worth the money for the views alone. As if the gorgeous surrounding countryside isn’t enough of a draw to entice the eager spa-seekers among you, check out their incredible outdoor hot tub, huge infinity pool, and completely natural spa treatments to indulge in some serious relaxation. Spa treatments are popular at Armathwaite, so you may need to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Not sure which treatment to go for? The Red Carpet Miracle Facial is incredible for instant results and the My Kinda Mood treatment is a personalised facial and massage; your therapist will match an aroma to your mood after asking you a few questions and you can indulge in a luxurious ‘prescription’ facial that will do everything you want it to. Last but by no means least, if you like living life on the wild side don’t forget to check out the on-site Lake District Wildlife Park, a safe haven for plenty of endangered animals - and a great way to spend your morning.
Price range: £172 - £358
Rudding Park: Harrogate
If you’re going to treat yourself to a weekend in Harrogate you absolutely have to check-in at Rudding Park; it’s spent over 10 years as one of Trip Advisor’s top three hotels and is guaranteed to tick all of your boxes. Scoff down a delightful afternoon tea, put your feet up for a screening at a private cinema, and tuck in for the evening in one of the spa rooms - fit with your own private sauna! Harrogate is rooted in history as a spa resort, so you know they’re the best of the best. Once you’ve been well and truly pampered, head to the iconic Betty’s Cafe Tea Rooms for a spot of lunch or afternoon tea and follow it up with some of the best shopping in North Yorkshire.
Price range: £180 - £496
The Gainsborough: Bath
Bath is steeped in a rich Roman history, making this city a hub for all things culture - but, as the name suggests, its popularity and fame stems from its association with Roman baths. Needless to say, Bath does baths best! Whatever you do, keep away from The Gainsborough’s socials; their gorgeous snaps are irresistible and can cause side-effects including serious FOMO, can cause some people to check their calendars for a free weekend, and occasionally people have been known to get lost in their Insta snaps. Don’t say we didn’t warn you… However, it’s not just the pics that are good! The blend of old and new is present all through the building, and it makes for a dreamy break away from your normal life - so this is a fantastic idea for a gift for someone you love (and fingers crossed they invite you as their +1!).
